The Ford Mustang Mach-E, the brand’s best-selling EV in the U.S., has entered the 2025 model year. This is the fifth model year for the Tesla Model Y rival, and while it hasn’t received a facelift, it does come with a few updates. Here are the 10 changes you need to know about in the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E:

New Color Options

Ford will offer three new paint choices on the 2025 Mach-E – Desert Sand, Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (paid option), and Velocity Blue Metallic (paid option). Availability may vary as per the trim and power-electric configurations, though.

New Wheels

Along with new colors, Ford is rolling out fresh wheel options for the Mustang Mach-E with the 2025 model year update. The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E features new 19-inch monochromatic high-gloss black wheels in the Select trim and new 20-inch monochromatic high-gloss black wheels as standard in the Select and GT trims, respectively. In the Rally trim, the updated model will be available with new 19-inch high-gloss dark carbonized gray wheels as an option.

Sport Appearance Package

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium will be available with a new Sport Appearance Package that offers the styling of the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT at a more accessible price. It brings the GT trim’s distinctive front fascia and grille shield, red-colored brake calipers along with Brembo branding on the front ones, 19-inch monochromatic high-gloss black wheels, and black door cladding and wheel lips.

For the interior, the optional package includes two upgrades – sport pedals and red accent stitching on the seats, dashboard, door trim, steering wheel, and center console lid.

Front Recovery Hook

Ford has finally added a front recovery hook to the Mustang Mach-E, a long-requested feature in the U.S., making towing the vehicle in case of a breakdown possible. It is located on the right-hand side of the front bumper. You just need to gently press on the top of the cover securing it inward and then lift it to access the hook.

NACS

The mobile power cord for the Ford Mustang Mach-E now includes the NACS fast charging adapter, giving customers more convenience.

Ventilated Front Seats

Another feature customers have wanted in the Mustang Mach-E for a long time and Ford is finally offering is ventilated front seats, which should make the EV more comfortable in summer. The company equips it with ventilated seats in the Premium and higher trims.

Heat Pump

Like the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Ford Mustang Mach-E now features a heat pump that harnesses waste heat and reduces the energy consumed for heating the cabin during the winter, improving the range. Ford says it uses a vapor-injected heat pump that performs better than a standard heat pump.

BlueCruise 1.5

BlueCruise 1.5 brings Automatic Lane Change to the list of various hands-free highway driving functions, further reducing the driver effort required and making long journeys more relaxing. The upgraded system automates up to 45% of driver-initiated lane changes, as per Ford’s internal testing.

Monostable Gear Shifter

A new, monostable gear shifter has led to increased storage space on the center console. Additional cubby openings here allow customers to keep small objects, such as an ice scraper. The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E, unlike the previous model, lacks a windshield wiper de-icer, requiring owners to carry an ice scraper for winter use.

Ford Connectivity Package

The Ford Connectivity Package brings a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot that offers ultra-fast internet connectivity to up to 10 devices. It also includes entertainment options like watching videos on YouTube and using the sound system for karaoke, both of which work only when the vehicle is parked. Lastly, it bundles EV Trip Planner, Predictive Destinations, and Route Guidance features in the navigation system.
