The 2025 Ford Super Duty has been revealed with a new luxury package, new upfitter option and styling changes.
2025 Ford Super Duty changes
Ford says the new 2025 Super Duty comes with various changes highlighted by a new Platinum Plus package, a refreshed Platinum trim, advanced trailering technology bundles and a new Ford Pro vehicle integration system 2.0 for upfitter conversions.
Other Key Highlights:
- Performance: The 2025 Super Duty offers maximum available 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque, maximum available towing of 40,000 pounds, and maximum available payload of 8,000 pounds.

New Platinum Plus Package: Elevates the Super Duty experience with premium exterior and interior features, including exclusive Smoked Truffle interior.

Updated Styling Options: Platinum trim features a new Black Onyx cabin with Platinum Blue accents, a painted black grille and tailgate applique, and body-color door handles.

Two new exterior colors: Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Advanced Trailering Technology: New Trailer Technology bundles include options for auxiliary cameras, Individual Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and BLIS with trailer coverage.

Ford Pro Vehicle Integration System 2.0: Simplifies vehicle conversions by integrating upfit instrumentation into the digital systems of Super Duty.
Other changes to standard and available equipment
- 6.8L Gas V8 engine is now standard on XL, XLT, and Lariat pickup includes the TorqShift automatic 10-speed transmission
- 7.3L Gas V8 engine on F-250 Pickup (without Tremor package) includes the TorqShift-G automatic 10-speed transmission
- SuperCab pickup cab configuration will only be available on XL and XLT SRW with 8-foot box
- 2kW Pro Power Onboard is now optional on King Ranch and Platinum
- SecuriCode keyless entry keypad is now offered as a Dealer Installed Option
- Trailer Brake Controller is now optional on XL
- Onboard Scales and Smart Hitch now become optional on King Ranch
- Upfitter Switches optional on Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum
- New Ford Security Package (1-year included with activation)

- All tow hooks are black
- Fixed Rear Window w/ Defrost and Privacy Glass becomes standard on Lariat
- Interior
- Available all-weather floor mats (N/A on King Ranch®and Platinum)
- ActiveX Seating Material is standard on Lariat
- Wrapped Steering Wheel is standard on Lariat
Pricing is largely the same as the prior 2024 model year. Ford told us the Platinum Plus package will add $6,500 to the price. Order books are open now.
All Ford Super Duty trucks are assembled at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant and Ohio Assembly Plant.
The bottom line
A more luxury trim package with the Platinum Plus, more tech and changes to packing with more standard equipment. These aren’t ground breaking changes, just more evolutionary for the best-selling truck lineup in the country.
