Kia Australia has confirmed its all-new and all-electric EV5 SUV will start from $56,770 drive-away when it arrives in showrooms later this month – see below for the full price list.

Three trim levels will be available from launch – Air, Earth and GT-Line – with the latter arriving in December. Further, two battery options will be offered depending on variant, as will single-motor and dual-motor drivetrains.

As with other Kia models, the EV5 has been subjected to an “an extensive local ride and handling program to ensure it is suitable for Australia’s unique road conditions”.

All grades will feature dual 12.3-inch displays incorporating the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, with the brand’s latest ccNC interface offering Kia Connect online and remote services and over the air (OTA) software updates. A 5.0-inch bridging segment houses the climate controls.

Available features higher up in the range will include a power tailgate (Earth, GT-Line); heated and cooled storage (GT-Line); a fingerprint scanner module (GT-Line), an augmented reality (AR) head-up display (GT-Line); and Remote Smart Park Assist 2 (GT-Line).

The brand’s suite of driver assistance and active safety features will also be available, with the semi-autonomous Highway Driving Assist 2.0 (HDA) confirmed to be standard across the range, as will a front-centre airbag.

The flagship GT-Line will also boast Kia’s Blind Spot View Monitor camera system.

Kia Australia has confirmed a “variety of exterior colours” will be offered across the range, with the GT-Line also offering exclusive two-tone options.

The mid-spec Earth will also offer a secondary interior colourway beyond just Smoky Black, with a Nougat Beige leatherette confirmed as an option – though tied to Tide Blue, Shale Grey and Starry Night Black exterior colours.
