If you read our first look review of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, you’d know that we love this honest subcompact SUV which is a well-rounded first car for Americans who are starting out. Last year, we traveled to Bangkok to see the facelifted version, now available in Asian markets.
While we expect cosmetic updates for the Corolla Cross in the U.S. later this year, the 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross has arrived at American dealerships with minimal changes. Here’s what’s new for the 2025 model year, which is available in 4 variants:
1. New Soul Red Crystal Color
This color is exclusive to the Corolla Cross in Toyota’s lineup, and is available on gas LE and XLE, and Hybrid SE and XSE grades. It can also be paired with a Jet Black Roof on Hybrid SE, XSE, and Nightshade models for a two-tone look.
2. Exclusive Nightshade Grade Option
The Corolla Cross Hybrid Nightshade brings a Wind Chill Pearl and Jet Black Roof combination for MY2025, exclusive to this grade.

3. Mirror Cap & Shark Fin Antenna Update
Toyota has introduced Matte black mirror caps and shark fin antenna for L and S grades, while reserving the Gloss black mirror caps and shark fin antenna for all other grades.
4. Badge Changes
For MY2025, the AWD badge moves to the rear across the entire lineup. Hybrid models now feature a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) badge on the rear liftgate.
Features & Specifications
There are no additions inside or under the bonnet for 2025 model year. The Corolla Cross Hybrid features Toyota’s fifth-generation HEV system with electronic on-demand AWD, powered by a 2.0-liter engine and three electric motors. Its E-CVT delivers a combined 196 horsepower and an 8-second 0-60 mph time, with a manufacturer-estimated 42 MPG. All hybrid models include a sport-tuned double-wishbone rear suspension for a balanced ride.

The 2025 Corolla Cross retains the Toyota Audio Multimedia system and Toyota Connected Services trials. All variants feature an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. A nine-speaker JBL Premium sound system is available on top-end variants. The LE, XLE, SE, Nightshade, and XSE trims include Qi wireless charging and two rear USB ports.
Pricing
The 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid is now available at U.S. dealers. It is priced at USD 28,395 (base MSRP without DPH fees) for the S model, and tops out at USD 31,580 (base MSRP without DPH fees) for the Hybrid XSE.
