Introduced in 1966, the Bronco was Ford’s response to the growing popularity of off-road vehicles like the Jeep CJ-5 and International Harvester Scout. Marketed as a “Sports Utility Vehicle” before the term SUV became mainstream, the Bronco was built on a compact platform with a focus on off-road capability. It appealed to a wide range of buyers, from farmers to off-road enthusiasts and adventurers. Today we’re taking a closer look at a custom 1969 Ford Bronco. This vehicle was built by Palmetto Broncos in Taylors, SC. It’s powered by a Gen 3 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Join us as we talk about the exterior, interior, powertrain, and history of this Bronco. It sold at the Barrett-Jackson 2025 Scottsdale Auction for $192,500.
